I am Paco.
An over romantic thought might describe me as an artist searching for a medium. I like that idea as I have dabbled in the creation of original artworks in the mediums of music, literature, digital visual design, photography, oil paint, water paint, charcoal and some others. But there is nothing I’ve created to date that I would consider significant to the art world. Honestly, I see myself more like a child playing in water colors, but that is not much of a sentence to use for self hype.
I am more of a generalist at heart. I probably am most skilled as a bassist, but even in music I’ve also had a hand in guitar, mandilon, saz, ukulele, trombone, piano, violin, … But again, while I may be able to hold my own on bass, in the other instruments I would classify myself more along the lines of either beginner, or perhaps more generously as enthusiast.
Over the years I have added snippets here and there to my body of work. For the most part, transient works that fade from my memory (and the world) as I pick up the next thought that teases my interest. I am blessed in this process has continued from my childhood and has not subsided nor diminished, aside from periods of time when the muse leaves me.
This site is my attempt to archive some of my thoughts in a central location that is controlled by me. I can decide what to put, up, take down and and not bound by any censorship (besides local laws and decency) nor do I need to worry myself about editing myself towards a certain audience. Feel free to browse the pages contained in this living archive. If anything strikes you one way or the other, feel free to leave a comment. A work of art is supposed to both be cathartic for the artist and arouse some reaction or emotion from the viewer. I invite your reaction good or bad. If you love something or hate something I’ve done, then I feel I have accomplished something and welcome hearing about it so that perhaps I can use that knowledge on a future work.
